It’s been a hot minute since I dropped a blog. School and my internship has kept me quite occupied. Now with school out of the mix, you can guarantee that I will be blogging more often.
DISCLAIMER: I am a huge fan of both of Jeffree and Manny. I know they both have an air of controversy surrounding them, but I still support both of them. I have also purchased several liquid lipsticks (like 8) in the past, and I’ve also written a review on the liquid lipsticks. That being said, I’m already familiar with the lipsticks.
So…I finally got my hands on the Jeffree Star Cosmetics (JSC) x Manny MUA bundle!
Let me begin by saying that the packaging is stunning. It’s every holographic lovers’ dream. The box is sleek and matte, with a magnetic flap. The logo and the insert is holographic and dimensional. The packaging certainly represents the special nature of the collaboration, especially with Jeffree’s star and Manny’s moon branded all over it.
The bundle includes:
- Liquid lipstick in the shade ‘Daddy’
- Liquid lipstick in the shade ‘I’m Shook’
- Skin Frost highlighter in the shade ‘Eclipse’
Liquid lipsticks: Daddy and I’m Shook
Like all of Jeffree’s liquid lipsticks, the formula remains consistent. Both colours dried matte (after two dips into the bottle to cover my lips), but are not drying. They are also very long-lasting (for up to 10 hours per my test) and hold up well unless you eat oily foods.

‘Daddy’ (top) and ‘I’m Shook’ (Bottom)
‘Daddy’ is a brownish nude. On my darker skin, the colour looks like the perfect nude. Rest assured, if you have a richer complexion like myself, this colour will complement your skin tone.
I was truly shook by ‘I’m Shook.’ It’s on the opposite side of the spectrum relative to ‘Daddy.’ Since it looks like a shocking pop of colour, I was terrified to wear this. After trying it, however, I would say that it’s the perfect colour for spring/summer.
I would describe this colour as a reddish coral or a watermelon pink. Why watermelon pink you ask? Well it was almost an exact dupe for the pink shade of my bedroom walls, which is aptly named “watermelon pink.” When I actually tried the colour, it wasn’t as bright as I thought it would be. It almost looks like an everyday red, making it very wearable for daily activities.
For both the lipsticks, I don’t really have much to complain about other than the colour coming off after eating food. Other than that, the pigmented and rich texture of Jeffree Star’s liquid lipsticks are always impressive to me.
Skin Frost highlighter: Eclipse
Out of everything in this bundle, I was most looking forward to the Skin Frost highlighter. I was sitting here like ”glow me away.” The colour looks taupey in pictures, but the highlighter looks rose gold in real life. The size of the highlighter is bigger than the palm of my hands, so you definitely get your money’s worth (pst it’s valued at $29).
As for the pigment, I’ll be honest…when I swatched it with my Morphe brush I didn’t pick up much until I swirled it a little. When I swatched it with my finger on the other hand, it was extremely pigmented.
While it wasn’t as pigmented on the brush as I thought it would be, it’s actually a blessing in disguise. If you want a subtle highlight you don’t have to worry about too much product coming off in one swipe.

Subtle highlight on left cheek
It’s also extremely buildable, so you can create the blinding highlight of your dreams. Once I swiped like I was on Tinder, the result was a gorgeous, blinding highlight.

Glam highlight on right cheek
Overall, I am really impressed with the quality of this bundle. The lipsticks, as always, are gorgeous and the quality is well worth the money (it’s also vegan!). The highlight while not instantly pigmented, is still gorgeous and it’s huge, so you really can’t go wrong. Just make sure to wear some sunglasses when you’re done because that highlight will make you squint.
If you’re interested in purchasing the bundle you can get it for $50 from jeffreestarcosmetics.com, with a 10% discount when you use ‘MannyMUA’ as the code. Sadly the bundle is currently sold out. My fellow Canadians will also have to consider factoring in a customs charge, eh?
You can also get the individual items from jeffreestarcosmetics.com or beautylish, priced out below:
- Daddy – $18
- I’m shook – $18
- Eclipse – $29
Let me know which of the liquid lipstick colours you like in the comments.
Until next time…
Shine bright like a highlighter ✨
